Morgans Boutique Hotel provided a convenient base for several days of business meetings in Sydney’s central business district.
The hotel is a short walk from Kings Cross Station, ensuring easy access to the city.
My room provided everything needed for my stay although it would have benefited from a soft ‘refurbishment’, that is, the walls being painted and an update of furnishings.
Everything worked well, including the toaster in the small kitchenette. While I didn’t use the hot plates or microwave, having the option of cooking meals would no doubt be beneficial to some guests.
What: Room 305, a studio suite, at Morgans Boutique Hotel.

How Did It Rate
The hotel’s location in the heart of Kings Cross, a few minutes’ walk from public transport including Kings Cross Station and buses along Williams Street from Sydney’s CBD.
My studio suite included a kitchenette with microwave and electric hot plates, refrigerator and kettle to allow for self-catering. The living area included a double bed, a table and small television. The bathroom included a shower/bath, hairdryer and Peter Morrissey toiletries.
The room was quiet – while I occasionally heard a slamming door it wasn’t enough to disrupt my sleep.
The staff were helpful.
The free WI fi was quick and worked extremely well.
The room was well priced.
The walls, carpet and furnishings looked `very tired’ and in need of updating. While the room was clean, marks and holes on the walls, etc, created an unkempt feel.
Reception closes at 9pm so it is important to ensure if you are arriving after this time, you have made arrangements to obtain access to your room. It’s also important to remember your key at night when going out!
